How to create Multiwallets?

With Multiwallets, you can create and manage up to 10 independent crypto wallets within the Utorg app. Each new wallet has its own recovery phrase, addresses, and balances.

Follow the steps below to create your new wallet.

Step-by-step guide

  1. On the Home screen, tap + Add wallet in the Multiple wallets are here! banner. Alternatively, open the wallet switcher and select Add wallet at the bottom of your wallet list.

  2. Select Create a new wallet.

  3. Confirm your identity using your PIN or biometric authentication.

  4. On the Name your wallet screen, enter a name or keep the suggested one, then tap Continue.

  5. On the Your wallet is ready screen, choose a colour and an emoji to help you identify your wallet. You can change these later in the wallet settings.

  6. Tap Backup wallet to secure your new wallet. Choose one of the available backup methods:

    • Manual backup: Write down your 12-word recovery phrase and confirm the requested words to complete the backup.

    • Encrypted backup: Create a password to encrypt your recovery phrase and generate a QR code that you can securely save for future recovery.

  7. Once the backup is complete, tap View wallet.

Your new wallet is now ready to use and will appear in your wallet list.

Important: Backing up your wallet is mandatory before you can start using it. Keep your recovery phrase safe and never share it with anyone. If you lose access to your device without a valid backup, you may permanently lose access to your wallet and its funds.

Good to know

  • New wallet, zero balance: Each newly created wallet starts with a zero balance and has its own addresses for all supported networks.

  • Shared identity verification: Your existing KYC verification can be used for your new wallet with your consent. There's no need to complete the verification process again.

  • Existing cards: You don't need to issue a new card. You can select an eligible card from your existing cards and link it to your new wallet.

  • Wallet limit: You can have up to 10 wallets in the Utorg app. Once you reach this limit, the Create a new wallet and Add existing wallet options will be unavailable until you delete an existing wallet.

You can switch between your wallets at any time using the wallet switcher.
