With Multiwallets, you can import an existing crypto wallet into the Utorg app using its recovery phrase or an encrypted backup QR code.
Whether your wallet was created in another app, on a different device, or previously backed up, you can restore access to it without creating a new wallet.
Step-by-step guide
Open the Utorg app and tap Add wallet from the Home screen or wallet switcher.
Select Add existing wallet.
Choose your preferred import method:
Enter recovery phrase: Manually enter or paste your wallet's recovery phrase.
Scan QR code: Scan an encrypted backup QR code previously created in the Utorg app.
Option 1: Import using a recovery phrase
Select the number of words in your recovery phrase: 12, 18, 24, or 36.
Enter or paste your recovery phrase in the correct order.
Tap Import wallet.
Once validated, your wallet will be added to your wallet list.
Option 2: Import using a QR code
Select Scan QR code.
Scan the encrypted backup QR code you previously generated.
Enter the password you created when setting up the encrypted backup.
Tap Proceed to complete the import.
Once imported, your wallet will appear in your wallet list with its existing addresses, balances, and on-chain transaction history.
Important: Never share your recovery phrase or backup password with anyone. Utorg Support will never ask you to provide this information.
What happens to my existing cards and verification?
If your imported wallet was previously linked to a Utorg account with shared cards and identity verification (KYC), the existing association will be restored automatically.
Your linked cards and verification status will be available without repeating the setup process, provided the original account association is recognised.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues when importing a wallet, check the following:
"This wallet is already here": The wallet has already been added to the Utorg app. Switch to the existing wallet or choose a different one to import.
Validation error: Your recovery phrase may contain an incorrect word, an unsupported word count, or a typing error. Check that all words are entered in the correct order and try again.
Wallet limit reached: You can have up to 10 wallets in the Utorg app. If you've reached this limit, you'll need to delete an existing wallet before importing another one.
