What are Multiwallets?

Multiwallets let you create and manage multiple independent crypto wallets within the Utorg app. Each wallet has its own recovery phrase, addresses, and balances, while your cards and identity verification (KYC) remain shared.

You can easily switch between wallets without creating additional accounts or completing identity verification again.

Why use multiple wallets?

Having multiple wallets makes it easier to organise and manage your crypto assets. For example, you can use:

  • Everyday wallet - for regular transactions and spending.

  • Savings wallet - for holding crypto you don't plan to use frequently.

  • Exploration wallet - for trying new tokens, dApps, or other Web3 services.

With Multiwallets, you can keep your funds organised and separated, all within one app.

How do Multiwallets work?

Independent wallets

Each wallet has its own 12-word recovery phrase, unique addresses, balances, and transaction history. Your wallets are independent of one another, so managing or accessing one wallet does not affect the others.

Important: Make sure to securely back up the recovery phrase for each wallet. You'll need the corresponding phrase to recover access to that wallet.

Switching between wallets

Only one wallet can be active at a time. Your active wallet determines which balances and transactions you see and which wallet you use for:

  • Sending and receiving crypto

  • Swapping tokens

  • Using Earn feature (will be available soon)

  • Topping up your card

You can switch between wallets at any time using the wallet switcher.

Shared cards and identity verification

Your wallets remain separate, but certain account features are shared:

  • Identity verification (KYC): Complete verification once and, with your consent, use it across all wallets in your account.

  • Cards: Your existing cards remain linked to your Utorg account. You can top up your card using funds from any active wallet.

  • App security: Your existing PIN or biometric authentication works across all wallets. No additional app unlock is required.

For more details, see Using your card with Multiwallets.

What happens to my existing wallet?

If you already have a Utorg wallet, there's nothing you need to do. Your existing wallet automatically becomes your first wallet, with all your balances, transaction history, active positions, and cards remaining unchanged.

You won't need to sign in again or repeat identity verification. Once Multiwallets are available, you'll see a banner introducing the Add wallet feature.

What can I do with Multiwallets?

You can:

One account. Multiple independent wallets. All your crypto in one place.
